Marine Expert Networks (MENs)
Six Marine Expert Networks based on the major Focal Ecosystem Components (FECs) have been identified. These groups will:
- adopt and implement the Arctic Marine Biodiversity Monitoring Plan
- further identify priority knowledge gaps
- identify existing datasets for aggregation
- further refine the suite of biological indicators used to report on the state and function of marine ecosystems
- meet annually to review program implementation
- produce regular reports and publications
- review and adjust the monitoring approach
Members consist of one representative from each Arctic marine nation and representatives from interested Permanent Participants
